Wasserspeicher Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg
Man will never rest until all dark and unknown places in the world are filled with light. As long as there is something new to discover, something new to know, and any problems to solve human beings will continue to seek the truth.
What do these dark places tell us? Do they as a mirror of the unconsciousness give us insights, creative ideas and hints for our numerous unconscious questions? They for sure challenge us in their peculiar, though, and alien nature, that opposes the utilization by man. Not only do we explore such unknown and frightening areas, we as well explore ourselfes in a new way. While exploring we see with new eyes, hear, sense, feel, taste and even smell differently. We invite the audience to a transforming new experience.
And even more. The Wasserspeicher which is an old reservoir could become a place for the audience to meet the arts in various ways and for the different artforms to explore a new cooperation. As a continuous group of artists in the Wasserspeicher we want to open up our annual festival of arts - KRYPTONALE - as a festival for new ideas and projects. You can apply for the festival and send us your concept, if your work deals with special places in general, if you are interested to get inspired by the Wasserspeicher and to work together with other artforms.
